The Problem
What nobody tells you before you start “building an audience”
Chasing followers is a bit like drawing a crowd for a street performance.
Some people stop. They watch for a minute, maybe clap. But then they inevitably keep walking. Five minutes later, they’re watching another street performer and they won’t even remember you by then, let alone tomorrow. So you feel the pressure to show up and perform again tomorrow. And the day after that, or the crowd disappears.
Growing a readership is different. It’s more like planting an orchard.
It starts slow. Painfully slow, if we’re honest. After the first season, you won’t have much to show for it besides dirt and a few tiny trees. That can be demoralizing, especially when nobody warns you it’s normal.
But you plant an orchard once. Then, once you’ve nurtured it enough, it starts producing. So you’re not out there planting a new orchard every single season just to get fruit.
The Solution
From Nothing to Ready:
A 6-week cohort to plant your orchard that keeps producing readers who show up for every book you write.
This cohort replaces scattered, half-built tactics with five connected pieces you build yourself, in the right order. You build alongside me for six weeks, get live support when you’re stuck, and walk away with a finished, working system:
Your Ideal Reader Profile
An ideal reader profile you can use to guide your marketing decisions
Your One-Page Author Website
A working website that does its job in the background, live and ready to grow.
Two Reader Magnets
One to attract new readers, one to deepen the relationship with readers who already know you.
Your Email List & Welcome Sequence
A list with a working welcome sequence already in place, so it starts building relationships from day one.
Your Social Media Presence
One primary platform set up and running on a schedule sized to what you can actually sustain.
The Fully Connected System
All five pieces linked together so you can attract and nurture readers who show up for every book you write.
What fiction authors have said
“Without Tanya’s advice and practical suggestions my marketing would still be a mess. Now I have purpose, direction and belief in what I’m doing. And I’m also starting to enjoy marketing!”
~ Robert C, Mystery Author
“I love how you have made the steps so simple to follow. I have read other ‘so-called’ simple stuff that leaves me scratching my head and feeling stupid. You present well.”
~ Maria G, Multi-genre Author
“Marketing had become a term that writers loathe – visibility means connecting (in a way). When you flipped that switch, I went from negative to constructive. Thank you 🙌🏽”
~ Arini V, Romance Author
Welcome Friend, I’m Tanya!
I help fiction authors grow a loyal readership without relying on algorithms or hustle culture.
More than once, I’ve watched fiction authors follow the right advice and still feel like they’re throwing spaghetti at the wall.
Maybe you started a website, thought about an email list, and you’re “doing” social media. But nobody told you why they matter, how they fit together, or what order to build them in.
That’s why I developed a process for fiction writers built on three simple principles:
- understand your readers,
- talk about your work without feeling like a salesperson, and
- show up consistently without losing yourself in the process.

I’m a fantasy writer, marketing strategist, and educator, with 30+ years of experience across business strategy, marketing, and tech. I founded Panoptic Foundations to help fiction authors like you grow a loyal readership in a way that respects their values and how they work.
In this cohort, you’re not handed a template and left to figure it out alone. I’ll guide you so you can build your 5 pieces with me beside you over six weeks of guided work and live support. Plus, I’ll make sure you’re planting your orchard in the right order.

Getting started is simple
Six weeks, one piece at a time, full support the whole way.
How does the From Nothing to Ready cohort work:
- Initial kick-off call is on Monday, September 21st at 12pm MDT.
- Each Monday you get that week’s materials with specific daily tasks. Each task is small enough so you can finish it without feeling overwhelmed.
- Each week there are two live calls, one to review the training for the week and one later in the week for Q&A, so you’re never stuck.
- All calls are recorded for your convenience in case you have to miss one.
- You’ll get daily emails with tips and encouragement.
- During the cohort, you can reach out to me via email, and I’ll provide guidance and respond to your questions.
